A mass strike by public sector workers will see around 400 schools close in Hampshire and the IOW on Wednesday November 30th.

Bin collections could also be affected - some libraries and leisure centres could close for the day.
Meanwhile, marches and rallies will be taking place across the South Coast:
* Winchester - March due to start at the Broadway in Winchester (by the statue of King Alfred) at 12.30pm, proceeding up the High Street ending with a rally at Orams Arbour
* Portsmouth - March and rally 12.00pm, Guildhall Square at approximately 13.30 pm. Where there will be a marquee, speakers, music, band, as well as children's activities. Feeder marches from Gosport Ferry terminal, marching from the Hard to Guildhall Square. And from Unicorn Gate, Whale Island and Continental Ferryport from approx 11:15am.
* Southampton - March begins Hoglands Park 12.30pm. Marching to Guildhall Square for a rally at 1pm. Student Union bar open.
* Newport - Marches from hospital and college to a rally in the town centre.
Southampton Airport says it's not expecting significant delays, neither is Bournemouth.
