Southampton Man Attacked Outside Club

Police are trying to find out who attacked a Southampton man outside a club in Dorset, leaving him badly hurt.

The 28-year-old was beaten unconscious in Christchurch near Club Epic, along Bargates, at around 4am on Saturday, 20 August 2011.

He was treated at Royal Bournemouth Hospital for a broken nose and cuts and bruising to his face.

Police Constable Chris Maidment, of Christchurch police, said: “This was a shocking attack that left a young man unconscious and in need of overnight hospital treatment.

“At this time, it is not clear exactly what happened outside of the nightclub, which is why it is essential that anyone who witnessed any untoward activity at this location during the early hours of Saturday should contact me urgently.

“I am also appealing for anyone who has any information about those responsible for this attack to get in touch with police as soon as possible.”
