Police Investigate Serious Sex Attack In Southampton

Police are investigating a serious sex attack on a 19-year-old woman in Bevois Valley.
Sometime between 1.30am and 3am this morning (Thursday, March 20), a 19-year-old woman was assaulted by a man on Ancasta Road.
Police think the woman met the man earlier that evening on a night out with friends in the Bevois Valley area.
The woman is receiving specialist support from officers and police enquiries are ongoing around the area.
A 37-year-old man from Southampton has been arrested on suspicion of sexual assault and remains in custody.
