Road Rage Attack On IOW
Police are investigating a road rage attack on the Isle of Wight.
A 19-year-old woman from the island was driving her dark coloured Skoda on the main road from Nettlestone towards Appley on the outskirts of Ryde between 1.45pm and 2pm on Saturday, August 13, 2011.
Shortly after the Wishing Well pub, a man driving a car in front of her stopped, walked over to her Skoda, and assaulted the woman.
The woman received injuries to her face and visited hospital later for treatment. She was left upset and scared by what happened.. No one else was travelling in the Skoda.
Police say the man they're looking for was driving a black Ford Ka, which also appeared to be carrying a number of children.
The Ka driver was described as:
> White
> Aged in his 20s
> Short dark hair
He was wearing a white T-shirt with some sort of black writing on the front, and a pair of trainers.
Police are appealing for witnesses who saw a black Ford Ka on the main road between Nettlestone and Appley on Saturday afternoon or anyone who has information about the identity of the driver.
