Police are appealing for information after a Postman was bitten by a dog in Allington Lane, Fair Oak, Eastleigh at around 10.25am on Saturday, August 6.
The dog, a German shepherd, was being walked by a woman. The dog was pulling on the lead. It jumped up and bit the 46-year-old man on the arm causing it to bleed.
The woman asked if the dog had bitten him and the man replied that it did but she carried on walking without leaving her details.
Anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or may be able to help identify the owner of the dog is asked to contact PC Richard Knight at Eastleigh police station on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
