Police Tackle Drug Dealing In Portsmouth
A man's been arrested on suspicion of drugs offences in Cosham, Portsmouth.
Police say they're taking more action to tackle suspected supplies of illegal drugs affecting communities in the city.
Officers executed a drugs warrant at an address in Halstead Road in Cosham, Portsmouth on Tuesday, July 19, 2011 and 39-year-old man from Portsmouth was arrested on suspicion of possessing a class A drug, namely heroin.
Items were seized at the address for analysis as potential evidence.
The suspect was taken to Portsmouth Central Police Station where he was questioned and bailed until September 21, 2011 pending further enquiries.
The warrant was executed by officers from Cosham Safer Neighbourhoods team (SNT), Hampshire Constabulary’s Force Support Unit (FSU), and the Portsmouth Drugs Investigation Team.
