Alton: Man Charged With Dad-Of-Two's Murder

A man's been charged with murdering a dad-of-two in Alton in Hampshire.

32-year-old Adam Cadman died in hospital last Wednesday (1 October) after being found badly hurt at a flat in Alton the day before.

A Hampshire Police spokesperson said:

"Nicholas Paul Fields, of The Lamports, Alton, has been charged with murder and robbery.
 
"The 30-year-old is due to appear at Basingstoke Magistrates on Tuesday 7 October.
 
"Two other people have been charged in connection with this investigation. Lorraine Marie Jones, aged 32, and Chris Stephen Carrigan, aged 34 – both of Church Road West, Farnborough – were charged with robbery. They were bailed in connection with the offence of murder until 5 December, pending further enquiries.
 
"Mr Cadman, aged 32, was taken to North Hampshire Hospital on Tuesday 30 September by South Central Ambulance Service. He had suffered severe injuries and died in hospital on Wednesday evening (1 October)."

Adam's family have paid tribute to him, they said: 

"Adam will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends. He was a much loved young man who was both a loving son to his family and a loving father to his two young sons. 

"What has happened to Adam is a tragedy that we wouldn't wish on anyone. We would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and condolences but would now appreciate the opportunity to grieve in private."
