A man's been arrested on suspicion of murder after a woman was found dead in Southampton.
Police were called to a homeless shelter in Milbrook Road East on Friday (13 June), where the body of 26-year-old Belinda Dalby was found.
A 30-year-old man, arrested on suspicion of murder on Friday remains in police custody and is helping police with their enquiries.
Detective Chief Inspector Darren Rawlings said: “Members of the public may notice an increase in the number of uniform and plain clothes police in the Milbrook Road East area, while officers continue to work on routine enquiries.
“I am appealing for anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious in the Milbrook Road East area on Thursday or Friday (12-13 June), to call police on 101”.
“Police would like to thank members of the public for their understanding and co-operation during our enquiries so far.”
