Men Charged Over Jewellery Robberies
Two men have been charged following two robberies in Portsmouth.
Goulds Jewellers on Highland Road in Southsea was raided on September 22 and H&T Pawnbrokers, Highstreet, Cosham on September 14.
Lee Robert Benneyworth, 28, of Leominster Road, Portsmouth has been charged with two counts of robbery.
Scott Jeffree, 33, of First Avenue, Cosham has been charged with two counts of robbery.
Both men appeared before Portsmouth Magistrates on Monday, September 26 and have been remanded in custody pending the next court hearing.
Detective Constable Dave Anderson, said:
“The investigation is still ongoing and I would ask anyone with any information to come forward.
"A man and woman were seen in H&T Pawnbrokers just before the incident on September 14, I would urge them to come forward as they may be able to help our inquiry.”

Both men were also charged with a number of burglary and theft offences, which relate to a number of garage breaks which took place in November 2010. The charge details are as follows:
