Police have released a CCTV picture of a man they want to speak to about an assault in Portsmouth last October which left a man partially blinded.
The victim, 28, had been enjoying a night out with friends around Guildhall Walk and was walking home.
He was assaulted on Hampshire Terrace around 2am, Saturday, October 30th.
DC Fiona Wright from Portsmouth CID said: "The victim was assaulted after he went to help one of his friends.
"He described to us how the attacker tried to gouge his eye while he was on top of him. He is now recovering from the assault, but his eye will never regain its full ability.
"The stills show a man in a dark jacket whom it’s believed can help with our enquiries.
"I’d like to hear from anyone who recognises him."
Anyone with information is asked to contact DC Wright at Fratton police station on 101 or the anonymous Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
