A man from Southampton has been beaten up and robbed near a park in the city centre.
The 29 year old was walking home along Pound Tree road next to Palmerston park when he was attacked by two men who stole his phone and keys.
It happened around 4am last Sunday morning (15th December).
The victim had been waiting with some people at a bus stop before the attack happened.
Police believe he was assaulted by two men who were also waiting at the stop. Both men wore hats. One had dark clothing with a rucksack. The other had a light coloured hooded top underneath a jacket.
Detectives in Shirley are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
