Police are looking for a man who tried to assault a young woman in Southampton during the early hours of Saturday morning (July 16)
They think he could have a facial injury after the incident.
At around 12.30 am, a 21-year-old woman was walking along The Avenue, near to the Cowherds Pub, when she was approached by a man who grabbed her.
Following a short altercation, the man ran off. The woman was shaken but uninjured and contacted the police.
The man is described as:
5ft 7ins tall
Dark hair
Olive skinned complexion
In his 40s
Wearing dark coloured clothing
Police believe the man may have sustained a facial injury during the incident, and would like to hear from anyone who recognises his description, or may have seen a man matching it with an injury to his face.
