A man has died seven days after falling from his bicycle in the New Forest.
Richard Fisher had been cycling along the entry road to the New Forest Reptile Centre, approximately two miles out of Lyndhurst on the Christchurch road, on August 17 at about 12.30pm.
For some reason he lost control of his bike and fell off, hitting his head on a cattle grid.
The 55-year-old from Harrow in Middlesex was taken to Southampton General Hospital with severe head injuries.
He died on Wednesday, August the 24th.
Police want to speak to anyone who saw what happened, in particular a person who is believed to have helped Mr Fisher at the scene and arranged to safely store his bicycle.
Anyone with any information is asked to contact Sgt Glen Barham at Totton Roads Policing Unit on 101, quoting Operation Featherstone.
