Police say a pedestrian, hit by a car in Gosport, died in hospital from a head injury.
He's been named as Peter Herbert, 87, of Rope Quays in the town.
At 8.17am on Wednesday 28 August, Mr Herbert was involved in a collision with a Ford Focus car on Mumby Road outside the Clarence Wharf Industrial Estate.
He suffered a serious head injury and was taken to the Queen Alexandra Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
The Focus driver, a 36-year-old woman from Gosport, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving and bailed until 5 December.
Police would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or saw either the vehicle or the pedestrian prior to it. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Fratton Roads Policing unit, quoting Operation Dusted, on 101.
