Man Charged Over Stanley Knife Attack
A 20-year-old man has been charged after another man was attacked near the bus stops outside the Civic Centre Library in Southampton City Centre.
On Friday, 19 August at around 8.30pm the victim was standing near the bus stops when a man approached him and slashed him across the face with a Stanley style knife.
He had to have 15 stitches to his wound.
Jamie Halley from Braishfield Close, Southampton has been charged with Grevious Bodily Harm and appeared in court on Wednesday, August 25th. He was remanded in custody to appear again on Tuesday, October 18.
Officers are continuing to appeal for witnesses to the incident and anyone with information is asked to call Detective Constable Mick Connolly at Shirley CID on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
