A man from Fordingbridge has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, after a teenage girl died in a crash in the New Forest.
The 19 year old has been bailed until September 19, pending further enquiries.
Esther Walters, 17, from Sandleheath, Fordingbridge, was in the front passenger seat of a Vauxhall Corsa when it crashed at Godshill. The single vehicle collision happened on the B3078 on June 9.
She sustained life threatening injuries and was taken to Salisbury District Hospital where she died on Friday evening. (June10)
Police are appealing for witnesses to the crash, or anyone who saw the car before hand, to contact PC Simon Bradbury at the Road Death Investigation Team at Eastleigh on 101, quoting Operation Dunwich.
