A 50-year-old man from Selborne has been arrested on suspicion of making threats to kill after part of the village was sealed off by police this morning (Wednesday 13 March).
Hampshire Police were called to an address in the early hours after concerns about a man inside the house - there was no-one else inside the property.
The B3006 was closed from its junction with the A31 at Alton and the A3 at Greatham. Due to the proximity of the address, the local primary school was also closed.
Inspector Paul Markham, said: “I would like to thank the community for their cooperation and understanding with this matter.
“Roads have now been reopened and the school have been advised.”
