The girlfriend of a contract killer has been sentenced to 10 months in jail for disposing of his shoes after he stabbed a woman to death in the New Forest.
Lian Doyle, 24, pleaded guilty to perverting the course of justice in connection with the murder of mother-of-five Pennie Davis.
Supermarket worker Mrs Davis, 47, was found dead by her husband in a field at Leygreen Farm in Beaulieu on September 2.
Doyle's boyfriend Justin Robertson, 36, was paid £1,500 to kill Mrs Davis by Ben Carr to stop her repeating claims that he sexually assaulted girls when he was 14.
Carr, 22, is the son of Mrs Davis's ex-lover Timothy, and harboured a ``lasting hate and anger'' towards Mrs Davis for resurrecting the allegations, prosecutors said.
Today at Winchester Crown Court, Doyle, of Beech Crescent, Hythe, Southampton, was jailed for 10 months, a court spokeswoman confirmed. She was freed from custody for time spent on remand.
Robertson, also of Beech Crescent, Hythe, was jailed for life yesterday and will serve a minimum term of 32 years before being eligible for parole.
Carr, of Edward Road, Southampton, was found guilty of conspiracy to murder and was handed a life sentence. He will serve a minimum of 30 years in custody.
Co-defendant Samantha Maclean, 28, of Beech Crescent, Hythe, was found not guilty of the same charge.
