Girl Slapped On Southampton Footpath
Police in Southampton are investigating after a girl claimed she was slapped by a man as she walked home from school.
The 11-year-old said the incident took place shortly before 4pm on November 22 on the footpath from Oasis School towards Cromarty Road.
The girl said there was a confrontation with the man, and he slapped her. She wasn't hurt but was shocked.
Shirley PC Stewart Forrester said the girl managed to photograph the man with her mobile phone.
"I know his face is hidden, but I hope someone may be able to identify the man because of his distinctive clothing," he said.
The man is white, in his early twenties and speaks with an eastern European accent. He wore a blue hooded white top.
Anyone with information about the man is asked to contact PC Forrester at Shirley on 101 or the anonymous Crimestoppers charity line on 0800 555 111.
