Pizza Delivery Man Attacked
Police at Hedge End are appealing for witnesses to an attack and robbery in which a pizza delivery man was robbed of a pizza.
Between 10 and 11pm Friday, October 19, the 22-year-old man was crossing the car park at the rear of shops in St John's Road, Hedge End, when he was approached by two men who demanded money.
The first man struck him in the face, and the second punched him in the stomach, forcing the victim to drop a bicycle and the pizza. When a further three men approached, the victim fled. When he returned to collect the bike, the pizza had been taken.
Both attackers are white and about 20 years old. The first is slim, 5ft 8ins tall with short, shaved dark hair and brown eyes. He wore an 'LA' hat, a black and blue hooded top with a centre zip and blue jeans.
The second man was slim, but stronger than the first man, 5ft 9ins tall with short, shaved dark hair and a diamond stud earring in his left ear. He wore a long-sleeved jumper with grey and blue horizontal stripes and blue jeans.
Hedge End PC Abigail Leeson appealed for anyone with knowledge of the robbery or who witnessed the assault and robbery to contact her.
"We want visitors to this area to feel safe in our communities, and now we need help from within the community to find the two men who attacked this victim. Do the descriptions sound like someone you know? If so, please get in touch." PC Leeson said.
