Firecrews have controlled a fire that broke out at the Dockyard in Portsmouth.
Ten appliances from Hampshire Fire and Rescue were called to the Naval Dockyard last night (10 January) at 21:49. The fire was in the roof and the first floor of a two-storey building measuring 30 metres by 70 metres.
Officer in charge Steve Foye said, "Fire crews were on scene quickly and set to work. Further resources were requested to keep the fire contained to prevent the fire spreading to other buildings. We worked well together with the owners and other agencies which allowed us to contain and extinguish the fire swiftly."
An joint investigation will now be carried out to find out how it started.
