Claire Reed from Botley died from sudden adult death syndrome - her family are holding a free screening event next month after raising thousands of pounds.
Just five months after her dream wedding the 22-year-old's heart stopped beating.
Around a dozen people under the age of 35 die from the condition every week in the UK according to the charity CRY.
Since her death in March, Claire's family have been raising awareness of sudden adult death syndrome and are calling for the Government to have young people to be screened on the NHS.
The Health Secretary Jeremy Hunt has told them a feasibility study is being carried out - to see it screening could save more lives - and hopes to be able to provide an update by the end of the year.
Claire's family also say more defibrillators are needed at sports and activity centres.
As a legacy to Claire, her family have raised around £17,000 to pay for a mobile screening unit to visit the South Coast and test as many young people as possible.
The first free screening event for 100 young people will take place next month and booked out in just a couple of days.
A charity ball is also being held at the Ageas Bowl at the end of this month.
