Police say the death of a man found floating in a harbour on Monday is not suspicious.
The body was found in Ryde Harbour on the Isle of Wight and officers are awaiting the results of a post-mortem examination to establish how he died.
Hampshire Police said: ''Police can confirm they are investigating the discovery of a man's body found in Ryde Harbour this afternoon at 12.23pm.
''The man has not yet been formally identified and a post-mortem examination will take place in due course to establish the cause of death.''
Later officers added:
"Following the discovery of a man's body found floating in the water in Ryde Harbour by a member of the public this afternoon police can confirm they are not treating the death as suspicious.
They are in the process of tracing next of kin."
