A man's body has been found trapped in mud flats in Portsmouth Harbour.
Police were called at 6.33pm on Sunday(August 28) by the ambulance service, after the body of a man was found on mudflats at Wicor Marine, Cranleigh Road, Portchester.
His body was retrieved by staff from HM Coastguard, and he was confirmed dead at the scene. He was taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital, and post mortem examination will take place soon.
The identity of the dead man is still being confirmed, but he is believed to be a local man in his early 40s.
His death is not being treated as suspicious.
