Firefighters are damping down after a big fire at an industrial estate near Southampton.
Crews were called just before 3am on Wednesday 2nd November to Rushington Business Park in Chapel Lane in Totton.
At its height 4 jets were tackling the flames. Fire engines from Totton, Redbridge, Lyndhurst, Hythe, St Marys and Salisbury were called in to help.
A two storey building, part of which is used as an MOT testing centre, has been destroyed.
Officer in charge Dave Turner said: "On arrival, the initial crews were faced with a well developed fire in a large building with a large amount of smoke. Due to the swift action and immediate attendance, the crews were able to use resources efficiently and effectively to bring the blaze under control. This would have no doubt been a much more serious incident had it not been for everyone’s hard work."
An investigation's started to work out what caused the fire.
