Attack Leaves Three Men Injured

Bitterne police officers are appealing to witnesses who saw an assault near the White Swan pub on Mansbridge Road, Southampton, between 8.45 and 9.30pm Saturday, July 28.

A 22-year-old Fareham man and his girlfriend bought some food from a van opposite the pub before returning to a silver Lexus 200 car.

A man ran from the direction of the pub to the car and pulled the Fareham driver from the car. A scuffle followed before an associate of the attacker joined the assault, punching the victim in the chest. There was a stand-off among the men before the victim managed to drive away from the scene.

Several cars are believed to have stopped during the incident, and police want to hear from any of these witnesses.

The second suspect is white and in his fifties. He wore light blue jeans with a blue and white Lacoste tee shirt. H is about 6ft 1in tall and thin with short, dark grey hair.
