Police at Bitterne are investigating after 18 vehicles were vandalised in the same night.
At about 12.30am, a man and woman with a pushchair were seen and heard arguing while walking along Bishops Road.
The man was seen to pick up items on the path, including bricks, and throw them at cars. Numerous vehicles were damaged in Bishops Road and Radstock Road. Most had wing mirrors broken.
The man is described as white, aged 25 to 30 and wearing a dark tee shirt and jeans. The woman had black hair in a pony tail. She was pushing the pushchair.
It is believed the pair may have been heading for a nearby train station.
PC Helen Iliff is appealing for information from any witnesses.
"This couple could be heard and seen. There are not many people with pushchairs around after midnight. We need to hear from anyone who saw them in the area of Bishops Road or the train station," PC Iliff said.
Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Iliff at Bitterne police station on 101.
