A woman has appeared in court charged with the murder of her sister.
Police found the body of Sharon Greenop at a house in Aldersyde Avenue, Troon, South Ayrshire, on November 10.
Following a post-mortem examination, officers said they were treating the death as suspicious.
Lynnette Greenop, 38, was arrested at the weekend and appeared at Ayr Sheriff Court on Monday.
She was charged with murder during the private hearing and made no plea or declaration.
The case was committed for further examination and Greenop was remanded in custody.
A 19-year-old woman was also arrested by police at the weekend but has now been released.
A Crown Office spokesman said: "A 19-year-old woman was also reported and has been liberated pending further enquiries, and did not appear in court.''
