Drivers are being told by Traffic Scotland that the Forth Road Bridge has re-opened after closures over the weekend.
The A90 and M90 (M9 spur) south of the crossing were closed to all traffic from 8pm on Saturday until 6am on Monday.
It was the first of three weekend closures to allow for the demolition of the B800 bridge between South Queensferry and Kirkliston.
The others are on the weekends of October 31st/November 1st and November 14th/15th.
However there is better news for motorists in the west: a planned closure of part of the Raith Interchange has been postponed.
The B7071 Bellshill Road, which links the junction with Hamilton and Bothwell, had been due to shut for five weeks from Monday.
Traffic Scotland says the operation will now begin on Friday 30th October and will last four weeks. It's part of an ongoing major project which aims to improve the M8, M73 and M74 and shave 15 minutes off the daily commute at the Raith.
