Teenager Charged With Murder In East Kilbride

A teenager has been charged with murder after the death of a man whose body was discovered near a church.

Frank Sinclair, 61, was found dead near Riverton Drive in East Kilbride, South Lanarkshire, at around 8.40pm on Saturday.

Police said a 16-year-old boy has been arrested and charged in connection with his death.

He made no plea at Hamilton Sheriff Court on Tuesday and was remanded in custody.

Mr Sinclair's body was found near Westwood Baptist Church, which cancelled services on Sunday.

His death was initially treated as unexplained as police investigations were carried out.
