Teenager Arrested Over Sex Attack On Pensioner

A teenager has been arrested after an elderly woman was sexually assaulted in her home.

The 75-year-old was asleep in her house in East Kilbride, South Lanarkshire, when she awoke at around 3.30am on Thursday to find a man in her bedroom.

She was then subjected to a sexual assault.

Police Scotland said a 19-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident.

He is being held in police custody and is expected to appear at Hamilton Sheriff Court on Tuesday.
