Teen Dies In Ayrshire Road Crash

A 17-year-old girl has died and three others have been hurt in a road crash.
Rebecca Ross was a passenger in a Nissan Juke car which was heading towards Largs on the A760 in North Ayrshire when it was in a crash with a Ford Focus heading in the opposite direction.
Police Scotland said she died at the scene of the accident, which happened at about 10.30pm on Friday night.
The 18-year-old man who was driving the Nissan Juke is being treated for serious chest injuries at Crosshouse Hospital in Kilmarnock. He is said to be in a serious but stable condition.
A 28-year old woman who was a passenger in the Ford Focus is in a critical condition in the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley, where she is being treated for injuries described as ``very serious''.
The 32-year-old driver was treated at the same hospital for minor injuries and then discharged.
Sergeant Iain Pittams at the divisional road policing department at Irvine, North Ayrshire, has appealed for witnesses to the crash.
