Gail Sheridan's lawyer has confirmed the former MSP's wife is lodging a complaint about the way police treated her during the perjury investigation into her and her husband Tommy.
Aemer Anwar's written to the Chief Constable of Lothian and Borders police about officers taking away Mrs Sheridan's Catholic rosary beads during an interview....
The lawyer's also written to the Lord Advocate Elish Angiolini over claims she was mistreated by police during the inquiry.
Mrs Sheridan and her husband Tommy went on trial in October last year accused of lying to the courts during Sheridan's successful defamation action against the News of the World in 2006.
Sheridan was convicted in December, but the Crown dropped the case against Mrs Sheridan.
