Jim and Ann McQuire, from Cumbernauld, North Lanarkshire, were named on social media as having been killed in the terrorist attack.

Mr McQuire had volunteered with the Boys Brigade in the area and others in the youth group posted messages on Twitter.

The 55th Edinburgh Boys' Brigade and Girls' Association tweeted: ''Really shocked to hear that Jim McQuire, BB officer with the 5th Cumbernauld and his wife Ann were killed in the Tunisia shootings. RIP.''

Chandlers Ford Boys Brigade urged others to pray for the couple's family in a tweet which said: ''Pls pray 4 the families of Jim Mcquire and his wife Ann, 5th Cumbernauld who were among the victims of Friday's terrorist attacks in Tunisia.''

Holly Graham from Perth is still waiting to hear from her parents, who are missing following the terrorist attack on the hotel where they were staying.

Ms Graham's MP, Tasmina Ahmed-Sheik, said she was  ''understandably upset and worried'' about her mother and father, Lisa and Billy Graham.

Ms Ahmed-Sheikh, the MP for Ochil and South Perthshire, said: ''I spoke to Holly Graham this morning, and she is understandably upset and worried about her parents. She thanks the media for all their support over the last two days, but has now asked for some privacy during this difficult and stressful time.

''I hope that while there is considerable media and public attention on this situation, the media can respect her wishes.''

She added: ``I'll be doing all I can to support the family and will be working together with the local MSP John Swinney to seek further information from the Foreign Office about these terrible circumstances.''
