Revealed: 5000+ Scots apply for just 100 firefighter jobs

Capital has discovered more than 5000 people have applied for just 100 firefighter jobs in Scotland.
It works out at 50 Scots going for every post at the Scottish Fire and Rescue service.
The news comes after more than 1000 jobs were lost at fire service over the last three years.
The SFRS launched a recruitment drive earlier this year due to a "significant" number of 999 workers approaching retirement.
