Rangers Win EBT Tax Case

The liquidated Rangers football club have won their tribunal appeal against a multi-million pound tax bill.

A three-person First Tier Tax Tribunal hasn't been able to reach a unanimous decision on the club's use of Employee Benefit Trusts between 2001 and 2010.

The former Rangers paid out over £40 million in loans to players and staff, arguing that because they were loans rather than wages that they were not subject to tax.

Revenue and Customs had claimed those payments were illegal.
