Police Return To Club After Body Find
Detectives investigating the death of a young man say they have had a good response after returning to a nightclub where he was involved in a fight hours before he was found dead.
The body of Robert Fleming, 21, was discovered at his home in Lammermuir Road, Kilmarnock, at about 2pm on Sunday February 7.
Police have established he was involved in an altercation outside Baker's nightclub in John Finnie Street in the East Ayrshire town at about 1am that day.
He then made his way home, where he was later found dead.
Officers spoke to more than 50 people after returning to the scene one week on from Mr Fleming's death.
They were in John Finnie Street between 11pm on Saturday and 2am on Sunday to speak to revellers and passing motorists.
Detective Chief Inspector Allan Burton, from Police Scotland's major investigations team, said: "Officers spoke with over 50 people in an effort to identify potential witnesses.
"We are thankful to those members of the public who took the time to speak with officers to help us achieve the full picture of the circumstances surrounding his death.
"It is possible that as we follow up on the information provided to us by members of the public, officers will determine new lines of enquiry which will be of assistance in our investigation.
"We will continue to progress all lines of enquiry and we continue to seek the assistance of the public.''
