PIRC In New Appeal Over Fatal Hotel Window Plunge

A police watchdog has again appealed for witnesses and video footage following the death of a man who plunged from a hotel window.
The Police Investigations and Review Commissioner (Pirc) is probing the incident involving a 47-year-old man in Glasgow city centre.
The man, whose identity has not been released, was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in the city but died of his injuries.
He fell from a window on Gordon Street last Friday morning.
A spokesman for the Pirc team said: ''We would like to thank the public for the overwhelming response so far to our initial appeal, which has provided us with important information to assist with our inquiries.
''However, we are aware of the existence of crucial footage taken from mobile devices around the time of the incident and would urge anyone with this to come forward.
''We are keen to speak to any witnesses who were in Gordon Street, near to the entrance of Glasgow Central Station, between 11.15am and 11.30am on Friday November 11 who may be in possession of such footage.''
