Police are treating the death of a man found in a flat in Glasgow as attempted murder.
Brian Martin, who was 34, was discovered in Lincoln Avenue of Monday night.
He was found after his family raised concerns for his wellbeing.
Detective Inspector Alan McAlpine said: "Extensive enquiries are continuing into the circumstances of this incident, which has led to the death of Brian Martin.
"My team of detectives have been carrying out door to door enquiries, and are accessing all available CCTV from the immediate vicinity to try to piece together his last known movements.
"It is understood at this time he had lain in the flat for a few days before being discovered.
"I would like to reiterate my appeal for information to the local community of Knightswood for their assistance.
"The area of Lincoln Avenue is very residential with a lot of properties, therefore I would ask anyone who lives nearby and who may have witnessed or heard something unusual or witnessed any kind of disturbance to get in touch with police.
"I'd like to take this opportunity to reassure the local community that a team of dedicated officers are working around the clock in order to identify who is responsible for this murder.
"There will be additional patrols around the area, and I would ask any local residents who may have concerns to speak to the officers nearby for assistance."
Anyone with information is asked to contact the incident room at Govan Police Office via 101 or via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
