A man has been stabbed in a "violent and unprovoked" attack in a club in Glasgow.

The 21-year-old was attacked by two men in Kushion nightclub in Bath Street at around 2.50am on Friday.

He was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary before being transferred to the city's Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment to stab wounds.

Medical staff say he is in a serious but stable condition.

Detective Constable Michael Leyton said: "Officers have been carrying out inquiries into this incident and have gathered CCTV footage, which we will study to gather more information and identify the two men responsible for this violent and unprovoked attack.

"At this time, I would urge anyone who witnessed this incident take place within the nightclub who has not yet spoken to police to please come forward as they may have information that is significant to our investigation."

The first suspect is 5ft 9in and has sallow skin.

His accomplice is aged in his mid-20s and around 6ft 2in.

Both men are of medium build and have short, dark hair.
