Man punched to the ground in Govan

A man's got serious head injuries after being punched while waiting for a taxi in Glasgow.

It happened in the Govan area of Glasgow on Sunday 31st March 2019.

Around 6pm a 41 year old man and his partner were on Langlands Road at Drumoyne Drive waiting for a taxi when they were approached by a man who was not known to them.

The man spoke to the couple, and as they began to walk away to meet the taxi he punched the man, causing him to fall and hit his head on the pavement.

The suspect the made off in the direction of the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.

Emergency services attended and the victim was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment to serious head and facial injuries. He has since been discharged but will require further treatment.

The suspect is described as white Scottish, in his mid to late 30s, slim to medium build, with short dark hair which was longer on top. He was wearing black rimmed glasses, a dark jumper and dark jeans.
