A pedestrian has died after a collision with a car on a motorway slip road.

Emergency services were called to the M9 motorway at the M876 junction - Kincardine slip road - at 11.15pm yesterday.

A 54-year-old man was taken to the Forth Valley Hospital at Larbert, where he died.

Police said the M9 Eastbound and the M876 eastbound would remain closed for some time while collision investigations were completed.
