Glasgow Teenage Girl Hit with Bottle
Detectives are appealing for witnesses after a teenage girl was seriously assaulted in Glasgow's West End in the early hours of Saturday 7 May 2016.
The 16 year old girl came out of the Spar shop next to Café India on Great Western Road at with her friend at around 1 o'clock this morning.
They became involved in an argument with a man who had come out of the same shop just before them.
The man then got into a saloon car before throwing a glass bottle at the victim and speeding off in the direction of Byres Road.
The 16 year old girl was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where she received treatment for a facial injury before being released.
The man is described as between 30 to 35 years old, with a shaven head and wearing a dark coloured rain jacket.
Detective Constable Robert Allen from Partick CID said: "This was a despicable assault on a 16 year old girl who has been left badly shaken and with a serious facial injury as a result.
"I would appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident and may have witnessed what happened to get in touch.
