Gas Leak Platform "Stable"

The platform 150 miles off the coast of Aberdeen which was evacuated following a gas leak is in a stable condition.

Operators Total say that along as the weather remains settled, there is no risk of the rig exploding.

The flare on the platform is still burning.

Experts who worked on the deepwater horizon disaster in the Gulf of Mexico have been brought in to assess the situation.

They say they have a "good idea" where the leak is coming from.
