A cyclist has died after being hit by a car near the Erskine Bridge.
Allan Smith, 58, from Glasgow, died after the collision with a Vauxhall Mokka at about 12.10pm on Sunday.
Mr Smith, who was cycling on the A82 slip road to the bridge, was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow where he later died. The 83-year-old driver of the car was uninjured.
Police say the road was closed for several hours while investigators examined the scene.
Sergeant Archie McGuire, from Police Scotland's Road Policing Unit, has appealed to motorists with information or dashboard camera footage to get in touch.
He said: "It's vital we establish the circumstances of what has happened and I'm appealing to any motorists who were on the A82, either travelling eastbound or westbound, to contact me.
"Also, if you have any dashcam footage, please let us know as this could assist in our investigation.''
Anyone with any information is asked to call officers in Dumbarton or Campbeltown.
