Climber Dies After Cliffs Fall

A climber has died after falling from cliffs in Fife.

The incident happened as the 26-year-old was climbing at the Hawkcraig sea cliff near Silver Sands Beach, Aberdour, at around 6.45pm on Tuesday.

The Kinghorn lifeboat recovered the man from the shoreline but he was pronounced dead by the Scottish Ambulance Service.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: ''His family have now been informed and our thoughts are with his loved ones at this difficult time.

''Inquiries are ongoing and a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.''
