Cars Destroyed In Fire Attack
A fire which completely destroyed two cars is thought to have been started deliberately, police said.
Emergency services were called to Dean Terrace in Edinburgh at around 3am today where the vehicles - a BMW 116d and a Mercedes 220 CDI - were well alight.
No one was injured in the blaze but officers want to hear from anyone in the area who noticed any unusual behaviour.
Detective Constable Douglas Mogg said: "Both cars have been completely destroyed by the fire, which appears to have been started deliberately.
"Witnesses in the area heard a man talking with a local accent at around 2:45am followed by a loud bang and then flames coming from the cars.''
An investigation into the cause of the fire is under way.
