A body has been found in water during the search for a woman missing for almost two weeks.
Pamela McDonald, 26, had not been seen since February 13th in Airdrie, North Lanarkshire.
Her disappearance was described as out of character and concerns were raised for her safety as she used daily medication.
Remains were discovered in water close to Calderbank Road in Airdrie at around 1pm yesterday - and officers have confirmed it is that of the 26-year-old.
Her family have been informed and a post mortem examination is to be held.
Officers are treating the death as unexplained.
