Second arrest over Renfrew death

A second person has been arrested over the death of a man near Glasgow.

Paul Mathieson was found with serious injuries in Houston Street, Renfrew, after allegedly being assaulted on Sunday, January 14.

The 37-year-old was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital but died in the early hours of Saturday, January 20.

On Friday, Police Scotland arrested a 22-year-old woman over the death.

A 26-year-old man had also been held on Thursday in connection with the incident, but has since been released pending further inquiries.
