If you've always fancied yourself as a musical superstar but have never picked up an instrument, this weekend could change all that.
Saturday is National Learn To Play Day, where music stores across the country have teamed up with the charity Music For All to offer people a free taster session on the instrument of their choice.
Dozens of stores have signed up, and you can find out if there's one near you at http://www.learntoplayday.com/
Organisers say whether you're amateur or professional, store staff and local teachers are teaming up to teach people of all skill levels something new.
Musicroom Edinburgh is one of the shops taking part. They'll have sessions as diverse as ukelele and didgeridoo, and even have a special Rock Bank workshop. Lessons will take place both at the store and the Edinburgh Society of Musicians. Lessons will be happening between 10am and 6pm and can be booked in advance by calling or emailing the store.
Musicroom Edinburgh Store Manager, Rae Lamond, said: ''It's just a chance for everyone to try something a bit different, as well as those who've never tried before.
''It can be quite scary to start something new, but we're all in it together. Everyone who works here, we all play an instrument already but we're going to try something new. I'm looking forward to the didgeridoo! I've never tried a didgeridoo before and it's quite daunting, but it's nothing to be scared of, it's just something to come and have fun with.''
